Noah Moncrieff Returns, Wants to 'Bring the Goodall Cup back home to Sydney'
The Bing Lee Sydney Bears are pleased to announce the return of Noah Moncrieff for the 2026 Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) season.
"It’s always an honour to be able to represent such a prestigious and historic organisation," Noah said in response to returning.
The 22-year-old forward had a breakout campaign in 2024, his third AIHL season, recording 24 points (14G, 10A) in 30 games. That output doubled Moncrieff’s career totals of 12 points (4G, 8A) in 45 AIHL appearances.
Noah has experience at a national level, helping Australia win gold and promotion at the U20 International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Division III tournament in Istanbul, Türkiye.
The club is excited about Noah's commitment to the club. “We’re thrilled to see Noah return," Sydney Bears Director of Hockey Operations stated. "He’s already grown into a productive player at this level, works hard and sets standards in the way he interacts around the club - impressive attributes for such a young guy."
"With three seasons under his belt, Noah is an important part of our group and will be a fantastic role model for our rookies this year and beyond. He’s certainly built a strong following in the stands as well, which I think he enjoys!”
As for Noah, he revealed that he is "excited to be able to play with the boys again and in front of the best fans in the league and have the opportunity to bring the Goodall cup back home to Sydney where it belongs."
