Logan Brodie ‘Excited’ to Join Sydney Bears and ‘Compete for a Championship’

The Bing Lee Sydney Bears are pleased to announce the signing of 18-year-old forward Logan Brodie for the 2026 Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) season.

Brodie made his AIHL debut in the 2025 season for the Central Coast Rhinos. Although he played just two games, Brodie made an immediate impact, scoring a goal in each contest against the Canberra Brave and Melbourne Ice.

Like many young players, Brodie has spent time in North America continuing to develop. Wearing the “C” (as captain) for the Nashville Junior Predators 18U AAA team, Brodie led the team in scoring with 53 points (23G, 30A) in just 35 contests.

'“I’m really excited to be joining this organisation,” Brodie declared. “From my first conversations with the staff, it was clear this is a place that values development, competitiveness, and winning.”

The Sydney-born forward has represented Australia at the U18 level in 2025, scoring six points (3G, 3A) in five games.

“Securing Logan is another important piece for us as we continue to build out an exciting group of emerging talent,” Sydney Bears’ Head of Hockey Operations, Nathan Graham, said. “He brings great character and a level of professionalism to an already impressive group and is fresh off a very productive campaign in the US.”

“We look forward to him taking that momentum into the AIHL season. We are thrilled that he has chosen our organisation to support his development and continue building his hockey career,” Graham concluded.

Brodie has clear goals for the upcoming AIHL campaign, stating, “this season, my focus is on earning my role, contributing in all situations, and helping the team compete for a championship.”
